Now, there are several stories about the Red Shoes – the Powell and Pressburger film, based on the Hans Christian Anderson tale, of the same name (check it out if you have not seen it – fabulous), then there is the Wizard of Oz with Dorothy’s sparkly reds, then there is my fascination with them and I have a pair of patent red leather shoes which I cannot squeeze into but which I adore.
