Tony, Mark and I were wending our way through the streets of Halifax, which is really rather lovely, and we heard this amazing singing and music coming from somewhere. We followed the sound and found this young man and woman. She is the percussionist and the box is her instrument. Their voices just soared and they let me photograph them as they let it pour out. Loved them. Perhaps one day they will get to you.
One can only hope. Even in this still image they’re full of life and vigour! 😀
Lucky to catch it!
Our house is almost always filled with music. Sometimes, we sit on our front porch and play and sing, and we’ve been known to perform on street corners and at various open mic sessions, too. I love this photograph! You really captured the joy they feel in the act of making music. And I agree with Tony: i would be wonderful to see them on a corner near me!
They’re awesome! Why aren’t they on my street corner? 😀

It is pure joy – I was so fortunate and a good lesson to me – always carry a camera. Your house sounds like great fun. Thank you for commenting.
You guys should video yourselves. I’d love to see one of your performances! 😀
Ooh yes!
