This is an image of part of the ‘Point’ structure at Milton Keynes. Once a landmark, once a cinema, restaurant, bingo hall, gym – now just empty apart from the ever circling birds waiting to pounce.
The Point is a glass and metal pointed structure that was one of the ‘exciting and new’ things about Milton Keynes which, formerly a village, is now apparently a city. In reality it is a shopping centre surrounded by housing, and commercial premises on the outskirts. Like the new towns only bigger. The Point used to be the central hub but now is empty and becoming a ruin. The transience of some architecture.
The ‘Point’ structure??

Empty and becoming a ruin…..sounds like my kind of place….for atmospheric images???? Probably the wrong kind of decay…..

Ah thank you.
Lovely juxtaposition between life and ‘death’. Well captured, Chris.
