Captivated by the description of Mr Abbs’ profession, duly checked it out to find that ‘stuff’ was a term used to describe textiles, cloth, etc. Makes sense.

Door to alleyway leading to old almshouses. Bootmarks are on here and some handprints. Loved the lock too.


Meandered past this house in a nearby market town and saw the brass plate said ‘The Surgeon’s House’. I loved the texture of the brick, the wood the brass is mounted on, and the layers of paint on the door plus of course the bit of sellotape which once covered the bell press. Feels very 19th century to me, Mr Dickens
