I guess most would consider this ironic. I wonder what Darwin himself would have made of it.
Throughout his life, he thought about and discussed Christianity quite a bit, and eventually ended up losing his faith. Unlike some modern atheists though, he allowed others the space to do their own spiritual questioning without trying to browbeat them toward a certain conclusion. I have a lot of respect for this man, not for his extraordinary theories on evolution and the like, but for his humility.
So, yeah, maybe it’s fitting that his image is there after all.
I think it’s far more likely than the world being created in six days, but I wasn’t there so I really wouldn’t know. It’s enough for me that we’re even here at all, as unlikely as us being here might seem. 😛
Of course, I do understand that he attended this place. The image got me thinking is all. 😉

Now Mr S you have me thinking. Are you not a believer of the evolution theory?

Now this is good – you haven’t just looked at it and forgotten him.
And I should add that he considered himself agnostic rather than an atheist. I should probably stop commenting.
Ooh allo again. Never stop commenting, never.
Aw, you’re very kind! 🙂
