It was a delight to hear him play the violin – a really lovely man whose luck seems to have run out on him. But his smile for the child is heartwarming.

Oh… just a lump in the throat. A sincere smile doesn’t cost anything but it’s such a priceless thing!
He was a really interesting guy but what has led him to this point I do not know. His kindness and warmth remain intact though.
Who knows… the ways of god are inscrutable. We have a proverb “От сумы да от тюрьмы” (something like ‘no fence against a flail’.) But we should stay a human in any situation. Always.
That is a perfect analogy. I will remember it.
