MELDING INTO SHADOW
RAIF BADAWI- 1000 LASHES
I have decided to repost this image in support of Saudi Arabian blogger Raif Badawi whose calls for freedom of thought and speech have resulted in his being imprisoned for ten years, fined, and also sentenced to 1000 lashes – 50 a week for a total of 20 weeks. As bloggers ourselves and with the freedom to record and share our thoughts and words, images and creations, I ask you to think of Raif and what his terrible punishment means, both to him and his family but also to our world at large. Thank you.

George bought it from them for £10 I believe and tacked it on to the end of his barns. These items are now in the care of my parents-in-law, as is the house and all the old outbuildings where this series of photographs were taken. There were some great finds here…..
EMBRACED BY MOTHER EARTH

I was wandering around a local cemetery, looking for interesting things to photograph, when I spotted this teddy bear on a grave. If you look closely you can see that nature is drawing it back into the earth by planting and nurturing grass seeds on its limbs and torso.
